Starbase was cleaned up and sold to Borland in early 2003. In 2005, Jim founded EventMingle, an event-based social networking solution for the trade show industry. EventMingle’s technology was sold in 2010. In 2011, Jim became President of Alchemy Solutions and led the turnaround of the company. In 7 months, this new media outlet on technology captured a worldwide fan base with downloads exceeding 520,000 including nearly 60,000 for large events such as INTEROP and the Avaya Evolutions series, and over 105,000 at the NENA event in Charlotte.
