Anatolii Grigorovich: AI-powered project management platform that automates your scheduling, project data in real-time, and predicts your projects’ realistic deadlines.

August 4, 2023

A quick introduction about what your company does/your values/mission.

Our company develops Savvy Planner – an AI-powered project management platform that automates your project scheduling, analyzes your project data in real-time, estimates your projects to be sure developers didn’t make blunders, and predicts your projects’ realistic deadlines.
Our values are interface clarity, ease of use, and honesty.
Our mission is to give people an affordable tool that can increase the efficiency of their work.

Tell us about yourself?

I’ve been working as an IT Project Manager for almost 4 years. In my work from company to company, I’ve always faced the same problems: wrong project/task estimates (whether your developers are honest in estimating projects or not), missed deadlines, exhausting manual processes that take hours or even days to complete, and the utter lack of comprehension of how efficient your team is.
Taking into account I’m also a Data Scientist and a full-stack Web Developer, I decided to create a platform that can help solve these problems. Everything started from a small plugin I created for a task manager we were using at that time. But the longer I worked, the more AI models I built, and there were so many of them eventually that I decided it was about time I created my own platform. That day, my journey began. I created a prototype (a small web application with my ANN and ML models), showed it to two of my closest teammates, and they liked the idea so much that they decided to help me turn my prototype into a complete product, which is launching on August 19!
By the way, my university education is extremely far from AI and IT. I’m a drilling engineer with a bachelor’s and master’s degree. I spent 3 years studying Data Science and Web Development while working as a PM.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Don’t wait for an ideal moment – it will never come. Start today. And devote as much of your time to your family as you can. The world doesn’t revolve around work.

What problem does your business solve?

It solves the low productivity of software teams (wrong task estimates, missed deadlines, etc.). As mentioned above, our AI models help automate task scheduling, analyze your project data, estimate your projects, and predict your projects’ deadlines.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I wanted to ease the lives of Project Managers as they’re responsible for project success or failure. Wrong developers’ estimates, constantly missed deadlines, and discontent customers were my personal headache too, of course, and I understood everybody faced the same difficulties. So if I have an opportunity to solve them, why not do so?

What is your magic sauce?

Unlike many of our competitors who simply integrate ready-made AI solutions and call it a breakthrough, we really use unique AI models that have been developed from scratch by us and that do real work, not just generated tips.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

We want to make developing software a consistent process without breaks, constant crunches, underestimated features, disappointed clients, and any other kinds of failure.
If we’re talking about numbers, we want to have at least 1000 companies that use our platform.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Not to lose motivation, I think. I lost it twice, actually. The first time was at the very beginning because I was working on this project alone for 8 months. The second time – when I got 7 refusals from accelerators. But I’m still here and digging my way out to success.
The technical part wasn’t so hard because, firstly, I’m three specialists in one package (PM, Data Scientist, Web Developer), and secondly, our team had been together for years as employees before it joined my project, so we understand each other with a half-word, and everybody knows what to do.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

Oh, this is the most difficult question of all of the above. We want OpenAI, Y Combinator, Techstars, and any other AI-oriented companies or accelerators to start collaborating with us. You can contact us via email: [email protected]
