Krysta is also slated to teach an upcoming course on quantum computing at the University of Washington. Krysta received her Ph.D. in Computer Science with highest distinction from Columbia University in 2006 and is a Kavli Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences. She serves on non-profit boards for education of young women, mentors young women, and speaks around the world about the importance of diversity, young women’s self-esteem, and the critical redesign of what the technology workforce looks like today and should look like tomorrow. She hopes to inspire young women around the world, to show them that technology is a field for everyone, and that they will be the ones to unlock technologies that will be ground-breaking and transformative. Drucker is a Principal Researcher and manager of the Visualization and Interactive Data Analysis (VIDA) Group at Microsoft Research, focusing on human-computer interaction for dealing with large amounts of information.
