Yaw’s vision, hard work and diligence led to the founding of gloStream in 2006. A talented information technologist with a gift for translating ideas into technological reality, Yaw left Ghana, Africa, more than 12 years ago and came to the U.S. to study technology. Yaw worked in both sales and information technology for various organizations. He started with a Detroit-based software engineering company where he worked to bring multiple systems within the Detroit Medical Center into a single database forming the first hospital management system for the facility’s oncology department. What Yaw saw early in his career has greatly influenced the developmental direction of gloStream products. Having spent time working with doctors who had difficulty using electronic medical record systems that were neither robust nor easy-to-use, Yaw had the vision to create the very first voice-enabled, Microsoft Word-based systems on the market.
