Brad has deep knowledge of the renewable energy, sustainability, and infrastructure sectors. While at BlackRock Brad supported the creation of the firm’s global sustainability program. Brad co-developed BlackRock’s proprietary merchant power forecast, which was adopted in 2018. As the first analyst BlackRock hired directly from college into an investment role within alternatives, he also created the firm’s global financial modeling training program. While at Cowen, Brad sourced over $17Bn of private equity opportunities across sustainable energy, transportation, food, and industrials. Brad focused on bi-lateral and off market situations. He also supported fundraising of the first fund through first close of $300M. Most notably at Cowen, Brad created the first electric vehicle charging station PPA construct in conjunction with a California utility company which was backed by large institutional capital partners. Brad was nominated for promotion to Managing Director but would have needed to remain in New York to support growing the business. Brad left Cowen to relocate back to his hometown of Los Angeles California and founded Lieef.

Daniel Jones is a US and Africa based entrepreneur with over 17 years of experience living and working in emerging and frontier markets including China, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and India. He has professional roots in technology, applied mathematics, electronic commerce, and emerging economies. In 1991, Dan was with the Defense Intelligence Agency where he was a key architect and topology designer of the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications Systems (JWICS), the first and now largest TCP/IP system to transfer voice, video, and data across Top Secret networks. Dan spent the last five years living in Kinshasa, DRC, where he evaluated supply chains and structured/funded companies as CEO and founder of Pioneer Management. In the DRC, he founded RAMIKA, the first US-owned company to successfully export conflict-free minerals from the DRC to the US in compliance with supply chain and traceability requirements under the Dodd-Frank Act. In addition, he structured the first private port facility constructed in the DRC. Dan has a B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell and an M.B.A. with concentrations in International Business, Finance, and Business Strategy from the University of Chicago (Booth). He served as an Adjunct Professor of Strategic Management at the University of Chicago, where his specialty was the impact of technology on Business Strategy.
