Palmer Luckey is the Founder of Anduril Industries. He is also the designer of the Oculus Rift, a virtual reality head-mounted display, and the founder of Oculus VR. Frustrated with the inadequacy and high cost of the existing HMDs on the market, Palmer began experimenting with his own designs in 2009 at the age of 16. In 2012, he formed Oculus VR, which was acquired two years later by Facebook for $2.3b. Praveen Jain is a seasoned executive bringing to Cavirin over 25 years of engineering leadership in innovation, strategy, and execution of products in Data Centers and Cloud businesses. He was the co-founder of several successful startups including Insieme Networks, which was acquired by Cisco for $863 million. While at Cisco, Praveen, as a Senior Vice President, led the engineering team in developing a massively scalable and revolutionary SDN product, the Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), helping customers build hybrid cloud (IaaS) solutions. ACI is now deployed in enterprise datacenters worldwide, generating revenues in the billions. Prior to Insieme Networks, Praveen also led UCS server engineering at start-up Nuova Systems, while prior to Nuova Systems, he was a Director of Engineering at Andiamo Systems, also acquired by Cisco. Praveen has secured 10+ patents in the areas of networking, automated policies, and data center infrastructure. Anand Kashyap
CTO of Fortanix
Anand is the co-founder and CTO at Fortanix, and leads engineering and product development. He also leads the customer acquisition and customer success process at Fortanix, working closely with customers and partners in enabling technical sales. Previously, Anand worked at VMware through the acquisition of Arkin. He developed the core engine for netflow analysis in VMware NSX environments, which is now part of the VMware vRealize Network Insight product. Before VMware, he worked for several years as a lead researcher at the Symantec Research Labs. At Symantec, he developed foundational technologies used in several products, such as the Norton Mobile Security suite, Norton Core Router, Symantec Risk Insight, and Symantec Deepsight Intellgence. He filed over 25 patents and presented in conferences such as Financial Cryptography and BlackHat. Anand holds a PhD in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur. He has published 20 papers in top conferences and journals and his work has received over 1100 citations.
