Jim McCarthy began his career in 1973 as a design engineer for a major provider of material handling systems. During the following years he held multiple positions in engineering, sales, and management, in two different companies. In 1988, he joined as one of the original management shareholders in the formation of what became Pinnacle Automation. During his career, Jim has had the unique opportunity to work in virtually all areas of the material handling business, including engineering, project management, sales, installation, and manufacturing, with several positions at the executive management level. In 1997, Jim became president of the Buschman Company, which was one of the Pinnacle Automation companies.
