Vice President and Deputy General Counsel – Corporate, Securities and M&A of Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Sergio is Vice President of the HPE Office of the General Counsel’s Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Ventures group. In this capacity, Sergio and his team are responsible for global M&A, Corporate Compliance and Governance matters, and support to HPE’s worldwide Tax Department around corporate restructurings. Sergio has held this position since May 2013. Prior to this, he led the International Operations team of HP’s Corporate Securities and M&A legal section, ensuring oversight and management of M&A transactions in EMEA, governance matters across HP’s subsidiary structure and support to HP Tax. Sergio joined HP France’s legal department in 2002 as corporate lawyer. He subsequently joined HP’s Corporate, Securities and M&A EMEA section in 2004 and worked on a variety of M&A transactions, integrations, restructurings and governance matters before assuming the role of Corporate, Securities and M&A International Operations Director in 2008. Sergio started his career as a tax lawyer in Paris, France and founded an advisory firm specializing in tax advice to small and medium-sized businesses. He earned a Master’s and a Postgraduate degree in Law from the University of Paris Pantheon-Sorbonne, a Master of Laws from the University of Cologne in Germany, and a Postgraduate degree in taxes and international financial strategy from HEC Paris. Sergio is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish. He is happily married to his wife Laure and has two children, Alice and Martin.

Patrick O’Malley assumed the role of EVP & CFO effective August 25, 2008. In his previous role of SVP Finance & Treasurer, he was responsible for Corp. Accounting, Reporting, Treasury, Credit & Collections and Risk Management along with Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis and support for our Business Unit GMs, Sales & other functions. In October 2005, he returned to Finance from the Sales Organization where he coordinated the Company’s activities surrounding the Consumer Electronics market as the SVP, Consumer Electronics Business Development from January 2004. O’Malley joined Seagate in 1988 & has held various management roles within the Finance organization including Manager of Consolidation & Cost Accounting, Director of Finance – Corporate FP&A, Sr. Director of Finance for Oklahoma City Operations, Sr. Director of Finance for Desktop Design, VP of Finance for Recording Media Operations & SVP of Finance for Manufacturing Operations. Prior to joining Seagate, he spent four years as a Sr. Staff Accountant for Arthur Young & Co.
