In the early 1990s, Thilo worked for an internal startup at Motorola, where he launched Motorola’s first consumer wireless “communicator” (the Envoy), and then launched Motorola’s first cable modem for broadband Internet access. Mark Lessing joined Insight in 2000 and is currently a Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer. Mark serves on several of the firm’s executive committees and handles investor relations, including quarterly financial reporting, investor presentations, and communications to limited partners. He was integral to the firm’s efforts in raising its last several investment funds (totaling approximately $2.0 billion in 2011, $1.3 billion in 2007 and $0.7 billion in 2005). Richard Sarnoff brings his extensive experience serving in senior leadership roles, including chief financial officer, and on the boards of directors of media and digital technology companies, and has served on our board of directors since August 2012. Since January 2011, Sarnoff has served as Managing Director and as senior advisor to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., a private equity firm. Previously, Sarnoff was employed by Bertelsmann, a diversified media and services company, where he served as the Co-Chairman of Bertelsmann, Inc. from 2008 to 2011 and the President of Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments from 2006 to 2011. Prior to those roles, Sarnoff served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Random House, a subsidiary of Bertelsmann. Tom Middleton is a Senior Managing Director (partner) at The Blackstone Group based in New York City. Scott Soussa

Scott Soussa is the Co-Head of the Hedge Fund Solutions Group’s Strategic Capital Group, which includes the hedge fund seeding and GP stakes businesses. Previously, Mr. Soussa was Head of Due Diligence in the Hedge Fund Solutions Group where he led a cross-functional team charged with evaluating and monitoring underlying hedge fund managers, which encompassed front office, business and operational, risk management and legal due diligence. Before joining Blackstone in 2003, Mr. Soussa was Controller of Lava Trading Inc., a securities trading technology company. Prior to that, he worked in Arthur Andersen’s Hedge Fund Advisory and Capital Markets Group. Sebastien Sherman
Sr. Managing Director and Infrastructure of Blackstone Group
Sebastien Sherman is a Senior Managing Director in the Infrastructure Group and leads the group’s coverage of the utilities, renewable and transportation sectors. Prior to joining Blackstone, Sebastien Sherman spent 14 years with OMERS Infrastructure (Borealis Infrastructure), including most recently as its Head of the Americas region. While at OMERS, Sebastien was involved in the origination, deal execution and oversight of a number of large-scale infrastructure portfolio companies across North America, Europe and South America. These investments spanned sectors including utilities (gas and electric), natural gas transmission pipelines, LNG import infrastructure, power generation, high-speed rail infrastructure, airports, toll roads, land registry and satellites. Prior to joining OMERS Infrastructure, Sebastien spent seven years with Morgan Stanley, RBC Capital Markets and TD Securities, where he advised on M&A transactions and financings. Earlier in his career, Sebastien also worked at the Bank of Canada, Canada’s Central Bank. Sebastien has an Honours BA (Economics) from Queen’s University, and is a CFA charterholder.
