Peter “Pete” Sullivan is the chief executive officer and founder of Jackpocket, a mobile-first startup making the lottery even more accessible and enjoyable for today’s consumers. He was inspired to create the app when he noticed his father, an avid lottery player, playing social games on his smartphone, yet still could not order lottery tickets on it. As CEO, Pete’s focused on securing venture capital to fund the company’s continued product and team growth, as well as working with lottery commissions and state regulators to bring Jackpocket to new jurisdictions across the country. Jackpocket recently closed a series B round of funding, with plans to expand to major U.S. markets in Q1 2019. A venture-backed entrepreneur with a background in interaction design, Pete has served in a variety of roles across project management, web and mobile UI/UX design, product development and more. Prior to founding Jackpocket, he served as a design consultant, a General Assembly course creator, and founded Tripl, one of the first social travel applications to launch using Facebook Connect in 2010.
