Alex Esteve
Founder, CEO of CarBuckets.com
Alexandra Esteve is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CarBuckets. Alexandra grew up in the industry as a fourth-generation car salesperson and had the idea to leverage the power of volume sales within the automotive industry using her experiences from working at the largest dealer group in Florida. Under her leadership and vision, the CarBuckets patent-pending process came to life, offering car buyers and car dealers a solution that alleviates major pain points on both sides. As a seasoned car veteran who understands the complexities of the industry, Alexandra began her formal career in the automotive industry in 2008 as the Marketing Director for one of the country’s largest Toyota dealerships. Within that role, Alexandra oversaw the execution of traditional marketing strategies, in addition to the conceptualization and implementation of new e-commerce strategies. Alexandra created and built the Internet department at the dealership, introducing online car sales to its business model. As a result, the Florida-based Toyota dealership became—and continues to be—a top 15 volume sales Toyota dealer in the United States, the top dealership in Florida, with online sales constituting 20% of all dealership sales. In 2009, Alexandra became the Vice President of Marketing for the dealer group – responsible for promoting the opening of several dealerships across Florida. She was instrumental in growing and establishing the brand, making the dealer group name synonymous with auto sales and exceptional customer service across the state. During her time as Vice President of Marketing, Alexandra identified numerous solutions that would enhance the buyer and dealer experience – all with the end goal to bring back the joy of car buying. She quickly identified the root behind the growing disconnect between car buyers and car dealers: the automotive industry still very much operates in analog, while today’s car buyers operate digitally. It is at this point that Alexandra decided to pursue her MBA, enrolling at IE Business School in 2011, to expand her business acumen, and most importantly to realize her dream of modernizing the automotive industry. After graduation Alexandra returned to the automotive industry with a newfound mission: to build a one-of-a kind automotive platform that speaks to buyers and dealers alike – that platform became known as CarBuckets. By grouping car buyers, CarBuckets is able to incentivize dealerships to cut prices, getting the CarBuckets user a real, group-discounted sales price — all without the hassle of negotiating. Under Alexandra’s leadership, CarBuckets is committed to removing the anxiety and stigma associated with the car-buying process. Alexandra brings an unparalleled creative force and entrepreneurial spirit to the team. In 2019, she was named “Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Babson College in 2007, and her International MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain in 2012. Alexandra was born in Puerto Rico, and raised in Miami, Florida.
