Adrian S. Griggs
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Pacific Life
Mr. Griggs was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer for Pacific Life in April 2012. As chief financial officer, he has responsibility for Pacific Life’s accounting, audit, tax, and treasury functions, and he also serves on Pacific Life’s management committee. As of January 2016, Mr. Griggs assumed responsibility for Pacific Asset Advisors LLC, Pacific Asset Management, and corporate development. Mr. Griggs joined Pacific Life in 1994 as an assistant vice president in the former Institutional Products Division where he was responsible for the coordination of financial reporting and planning. In 1999, he was promoted to vice president in the Retirement Solutions Division, where he assumed responsibility for developing, directing, and managing the division’s financial, budgeting, planning, and compliance operations. Mr. Griggs was promoted to senior vice president, Finance and Compliance in 2008, and in 2009 assumed responsibility for the oversight of the division’s two newly-formed departments: Institutional and Structured Products and Risk Management. In this capacity, he oversaw and was responsible for the development and presentation of financial results, business planning and risk management strategies. Mr. Griggs is also chief executive officer of Pacific Select Distributors, LLC (“PSD”). PSD is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and a registered broker/dealer with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to joining Pacific Life, Mr. Griggs worked as a certified public accountant with Deloitte & Touche specializing in the insurance and financial services industry.

Chris van Mierlo
Chief Marketing Officer & Senior Vice President of Sales of Pacific Life
Mr. van Mierlo serves as chief marketing officer and senior vice president of Sales in the Retirement Solutions Division. In this role, he provides oversight, strategic direction, and leadership to the Sales and Marketing departments of the Retirement Solutions Division. Mr. van Mierlo began his career at Pacific Life in 1995 as assistant vice president and national sales manager for the Life Insurance Division in the variable product area. In 2000, Mr. van Mierlo was promoted to vice president, National Accounts for the Annuities & Mutual Funds Division. He was responsible for managing all aspects of new and existing relationships across the division’s distribution channels and regional lines. Dewey P. Bushaw
Executive Vice President of Retirement Solutions Division of Pacific Life
Mr. Bushaw joined Pacific Life’s Annuities Division in 1994 as national sales manager with responsibility for the field wholesaling area. Prior to joining Pacific Life, Mr. Bushaw had 12 years of experience in sales and marketing of variable annuities and mutual funds. In 1997, he was promoted to vice president with oversight of the internal and field sales management, broker/dealer national account relations, product development, strategic planning, and conference planning. In 1999, Mr. Bushaw was further promoted to senior vice president, National Sales. In July 2005, Mr. Bushaw was promoted to a new position as chief marketing officer. In this role, Mr. Bushaw oversees all sales and marketing functions for Pacific Life’s Retirement Solutions Division. Mr. Bushaw was promoted to executive vice president of the Retirement Solutions Division in January 2009. He is accountable for the development, distribution, marketing, administration, and profitability of Pacific Life’s annuity and mutual fund product lines.

Richard Vrieling
Senior Vice President of Corporate Information Technology of Pacific Life
Mr. Vrieling currently leads the Corporate Information Technology department. He is responsible for directing all aspects of the division and enterprise shared services technology strategies and operations, including business applications services and solutions, infrastructure and data centers. Additionally, Mr. Vrieling is responsible for desktop and open systems functions for the Life Insurance Division as well as supporting Pacific Life’s remote subsidiaries, including Aviation Capital Group and Pacific Life Re. Mr. Vrieling is a member of the Information Technology Management Committee, which is responsible for enterprise IT strategy and governance. Prior to his current position, Mr. Vrieling was vice president, Information Technology for the Investment Management Division from 2008 – 2011. He was responsible for the division’s information technology strategy, operations, and systems used to manage and support the companies’ investment portfolios. Mr. Vrieling assumed additional responsibilities in June 2009 as vice president, Investment and Product Operations. He was responsible for all middle and back office operational functions, including post trade fixed income and derivatives activities, cash processing, and cash and asset reconciliations. Mr. Vrieling began his career at Pacific Life in 1986 as a programmer/analyst in the Investment Systems area of the Management Information Systems department. He transferred to the Securities Division in 1987. Mr. Vrieling progressed through a number of promotions with increasing responsibilities, and in 1995 was named director, assuming responsibility for Securities Systems. Under his leadership, Mr. Vrieling began a modernization of the Securities Division computing and technology solutions, and was named assistant vice president, Securities Systems in 1997.

Mary Ann Brown
Executive Vice President, Corporate of Pacific Life
Ms. Brown currently serves as executive vice president, Corporate, and is chief executive officer of both Pacific Select Fund and Pacific Funds. Her responsibilities include overseeing Pacific Life’s general account investment teams, Enterprise Risk Management, Pacific Life Fund Advisors, and Pacific Life Re, headquartered in London. Ms. Brown joined Pacific Life’s Life Insurance Division in 2005 as senior vice president, Finance and Product Development and joined the Corporate Division of Pacific Life in 2006. Ms. Brown’s actuarial career began at Canada Life Assurance in Atlanta in 1980. She was then employed with Tillinghast/Towers Perrin from 1983 to 1996, consulting in most areas of life, annuity, and health insurance industry products, strategy, and actuarial appraisals. She was the lead principal for variable products and managing principal of the New York and Washington offices. In 1996, she joined Swiss Re New Markets as director of Worldwide Life Reinsurance and CEO of Atlantic International Reinsurance Company. In 1998, Ms. Brown joined MetLife, Inc. as president of New England Products and Services, heading Product Management for individual life, annuity, and small group products for all MetLife companies. She also chaired Security First Group and MetLife’s reinsurance companies, serving on the boards of RGA and separate account funds. In 2002, she was appointed chief actuary of MetLife, heading Risk Management and Valuation of over $250 billion of liabilities worldwide. From 2000 to 2007, she served on the board of the National Association of Variable Annuities and was its chairman in 2004 and 2005. In 2015, she was inducted into the Insured Retirement Institute’s Hall of Fame for leadership and vision to advance the retirement income industry.

Richard J. Schindler
Executive Vice President of Life Insurance Division of Pacific Life
Mr. Schindler is responsible for and oversees all aspects of the Life Insurance Division. He was promoted to executive vice president of the Life Insurance Division in 2014. Mr. Schindler began his career at Pacific Life in 1990 after working for several insurance carriers over a 20 year period. He served as branch manager for ten years in Pacific Life’s Kansas City branch office. In 2000, Mr. Schindler was promoted to vice president, Branch Offices. He oversaw the successful merger of the FINRA and branch office channels into the regional life insurance office distribution channel in 2002. During this merger he assumed the role of vice president, Independent Producer Channel. In 2006, Mr. Schindler was promoted to senior vice president and chief marketing officer of the Life Insurance Division. In this role, he was responsible for all life insurance sales and marketing functions.

Dawn M. Trautman
Senior Vice President of Product & Strategy Management of Pacific Life
Ms. Trautman serves as senior vice president of the Life Insurance Division. In this role, she is responsible for the Life Insurance Division’s product, marketing, underwriting, information technology, and strategic planning functions. Ms. Trautman joined Pacific Life as a program manager in 2001, overseeing the new business improvement program and the merger of the two primary go-to-market distribution channels. In 2003, she was promoted to director and in 2004 was promoted to assistant vice president, Sales and Marketing Operations. She launched the first field productivity program across 22 regional offices and facilitated efficiency initiatives across the Life Insurance Division’s distribution channels. In October 2006, Ms. Trautman was promoted to vice president and in April 2010, was promoted to senior vice president. Ms. Trautman began her career with Prudential Insurance Company in 1987 and held various positions in the IT and marketing research departments. Her responsibilities included managing policy administration, member services, and direct marketing information systems for a large group health insurance account. After nine years, Ms. Trautman assisted with the transition of the group health insurance systems to the Hartford Insurance Group. In 1997, Ms Trautman joined the consulting firm, Accenture, managing large systems integration and business improvement projects for New York Life and Pacific Life.

Tod Nasser
Senior Vice President of Investment Management of Pacific Life
Mr. Nassar serves as senior vice president, Investment Management. In his current role he oversees the general account and advises Pacific Life’s product divisions and subsidiaries on product design, investment opportunities, and hedging strategies. Mr. Nasser joined Pacific Life in 1991 as assistant vice president, Asset/Liability Management in the Pension Investments area. He was promoted to vice president, Asset/Liability Strategies in 1995, and in 2004 he was named chief derivatives officer with responsibility for managing and coordinating all aspects of the use of derivatives at Pacific Life. In 2005, Mr. Nasser joined Investment Management as vice president, Portfolio Management with responsibility over Pacific Life’s general account portfolios. Carol R. Sudbeck
Senior Vice President of Corporate of Pacific Life
Ms. Sudbeck serves as senior vice president, Corporate, with oversight of Human Resources, Corporate Information Technology, Facilities, and Public Affairs. In this role, she has overall responsibility for all HR areas, including talent management, HR business partners, total rewards and facilities. In 2007, Ms. Sudbeck joined the Human Resources Department as vice president, Talent Acquisition and Development, with responsibility for overseeing the company’s recruiting and onboarding services, executive and management development, training and educational programs, and custom solutions to support the company’s workforce requirements. She was promoted to senior vice president in 2010. Prior to joining Pacific Life, Ms. Sudbeck worked as an auditor with Price Waterhouse specializing in the insurance and financial services industry.

Thomas Gibbons

Mr. Gibbons serves as senior vice president, Corporate Treasury, Tax, and Enterprise Consulting. In this role, he oversees the company’s corporate treasury, tax, information security, and business continuity operations as well as other strategic corporate initiatives. Ms. Gordon joined Pacific Life in 1995 and was promoted to vice president of Operations and Program Management Office for Pacific Life’s Retirement Solutions Division (RSD) in 2004 and to senior vice president on April 1, 2015. In this role she has overall responsibility for the service and administration of all RSD lines of business, ensuring exceptional service to financial advisors, brokers and contract owners. Ms. Gordon is also responsible for the oversight and direction of the Program Management Office which drives the division’s strategic initiatives. She oversees two Third-Party Administrator outsourcing relationships for Mutual Funds and Institutional & Structured Settlement products. Under her direction, RSD’s call center has been the recipient of several DALBAR Awards for service excellence. Ms. Gordon began her career with E.F. Hutton & Company, Inc. and later joined Eden Financial. With over 25 years of experience in insurance and financial services, she has extensive knowledge in sales and marketing, product development, operational compliance, and administration. She is an active member and former chair of the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) Operations and Technology Senior Steering Committee, which seeks to shape industry change and automation.

Mr. Celentano was named Chief Risk Officer in 2012 and serves as senior vice president, Enterprise Risk Management. In this role Mr. Celentano oversees the development and implementation of the company’s risk strategy and risk appetite across all business lines and is responsible for identifying, assessing and prioritizing risks across the organization and chairs the Enterprise Risk Committee.
