Jeff Cohn: Crowdsourced Public Safety Maps To Inspire Smarter Cities, Safer Drivers, and Healthier Living

April 3, 2022

Founder & CEO of Syndicated Maps a developer of crowdsourced public safety maps to inspire smarter cities, safer drivers, and healthier living. Geo-spatial data visualization is our expertise as we aggregate and crowdsource data from multiple sources.

Our mobile-friendly maps solve social, business, and political problems by providing a data visualization platform to consumers & enterprises. Anonymous users contribute & search our location-based visual maps to discover & solve problems.

We have built 25 different location-based maps that solve various transportation, telecom, energy, and travel problems. All of the map databases are free to use and DO NOT require an app download.

Data can be licensed and downloaded for commercial use on our data market. We encourage companies, governments, and to developers use (license) this data alongside other services to help people live healthier and safer lives. The business is supported by local geo-targeted advertising and database licensing. See slides https://syndicatedmaps.com/slides

What is the inspiration behind your business?

Chrony government regulation is broken in every single industry and there is not enough data transparency. FCC, DOE, FDA, DOT are all afraid to publish the hard and and true facts. These agencies are regulated by former employees from industry businesses, and do not really protect the people they were designed to.

What is your magic sauce?

Having an audience who contributes data to the platforms that is continually updated. We filter and crowdsource the data from multiple sources.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Better relationships with government regulatory agencies, we can help provide more transparency. Enterprise data licenses to larger companies.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Monetizing the audience through Google and licensing the data at scale.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
