Provide medical uniforms such as scrubs and lab coats to healthcare professionals. We place a huge emphasis on providing excellence via customer service, kindness and empathy. Healthcare workers are already overrun and overtired. We aim to help by allowing them to express themselves with what they wear.
Tell us about yourself?
Graduate in Business Administration from Fox School of Business, Temple University. This was a family business that I took over and rebranded.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Importance of marketing and communication with customers. Think outside the box and don’t wait too long to implement the changes you wanted to implement from the beginning.
What problem does your business solve?
Provide medical uniforms to local healthcare workers
What is the inspiration behind your business?
Initially it started out as something to just get my feet wet in the business world but soon it turned into something I love.
I may be exhausted when I wake up each day but I look forward to coming in to the store. My customers are my inspiration.
The amazing ladies and gentlemen who walk through our doors all have a story or stories even. Hearing them day in and day out gives me the inspiration to keep pushing through because I want to be here for them just like they’re there for each soul they take care of.
What is your magic sauce?
We care about our customers. From start to finish, we aim to provide the best in customer service and products.
I believe a smile or an act of kindness goes a long way and it is proved over and over each day.
Understanding the customers needs, allowing them to express themselves the best they can with the products we provide allows us to provide an incomparable level of service.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
To keep growing and be the scrub store of choice for all the local hospitals and healthcare organizations.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Staffing shortages and competing with online businesses. While it is easier to shop online, many stores are closing because it’s so much harder to compete with stores that provide free shipping, etc.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
We would love to bring onboard more healthcare organizations who are in need of scrubs. You can reach out to us via email directly at support@scrubhaven.com
