Tell us about yourself?
My name is Hanna Marks I have 10 years of sobriety. I found recovery at the age of seventeen. I am one of the lucky ones. I have experience working in the field of addiction and witnessing half of my friends some of my closest die of the disease. I believe the world and people need more resources and data to better understand this illness. I have made it my mission to build technology that does this.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
I would say never be afraid to say what needs to be said.
What problem does your business solve?
It helps treatment providers analyze how effective they are. It makes finding treatment easier. It gives recovering addicts an entire community at their fingertips and all the resources they need for the area they are in.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
I just want to see my friends live to see their children grow up. I don’t want so many parents burying the children they raised.
What is your magic sauce?
I have been boots on the ground, I believe I have some unique insights. My mother is an addiction therapist and author, I am an addict, and I have worked in addiction.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
I want to continue to grow the technology and get it to market. We will evolve and receive feedback.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Raising funds has been really difficult, so I have mostly self funded which has slowed us down on many fronts.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
We want other companies in this field to work with us and find similarities so that we can collaborate and work together.
