Hess rejoined UTC in January 2015 following a 35-year career that included serving as president of the corporation’s Hamilton Sundstrand and Pratt & Whitney businesses. Hess was named president of Pratt & Whitney in January 2009, where he was responsible for the company’s global operations in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines for commercial and military aircraft. He joined Pratt & Whitney after four years as president of Hamilton Sundstrand, the United Technologies Corp. business where he began his professional career in 1979. Hess serves as a member of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) Board of Governor’s Executive Committee. He also serves on the Board of Hartford HealthCare, the parent company of Hartford Hospital and the second largest health care network provider in Connecticut. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the National World War II Museum, and is on the Board of Directors for The Discovery Center, a nonprofit group founded by Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward that works with students from Connecticut’s urban centers and suburban communities on diversity and team-building. Scott D. Moore is senior vice president, Corporate Relations for Union Pacific. He has companywide responsibility for internal and external communications, public affairs, media relations, brand management and advertising. Moore serves as president of the Union Pacific Foundation. Moore previously served as vice president – Public Affairs for Union Pacific’s nine-state western region. His responsibilities included state government relations, public partnerships, port affairs, community relations, and philanthropic programs across the nine-state region. Prior to that, he was assistant vice president and general manager – public partnerships. Moore joined Union Pacific as director – government affairs in 2000. Prior to joining the railroad, Moore twice was elected Nebraska’s secretary of state, following eight years as a state senator from Nebraska’s 24th legislative district. His political career began when we he was elected to Nebraska’s Unicameral Legislature in 1986.

Lynn Kelley

Lynn Kelley is senior vice president–Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement at Union Pacific Railroad. In this role, Kelley is responsible for sourcing, logistics, warehouse operations, fuel sourcing, fuel infrastructure, and industrial engineering/continuous improvement. She reports to the Chairman and CEO and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and Operating Committee. Prior to joining Union Pacific in 2011, Kelley was employed at Textron where she held the position of Vice President, Operational Excellence. She was responsible for Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Procurement and Corporate Six Sigma/Quality Councils across all business units, which include Cessna Aircraft and Bell Helicopter. During her Textron career, Kelley had several international assignments, where she was based in France and South Africa, and was responsible for activities at facilities located in Australia, Switzerland, France, Germany and South Africa. Kelley was previously a professor, department chair, and director of the Master’s Degree in Quality and Operations Management at Madonna University, School of Business, in Livonia, Mich. She also served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Doctors Hospital in Detroit. Kelley holds a Ph.D. from Wayne State University, an M.B.A. from Michigan State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Detroit-Mercy. She has published books in the fields of statistics and operational excellence.

Derek Jenkins is the VP of Design at Lucid. In this role, Derek oversees all design developments, including exterior and interior design, user experience, color and material, accessories, and the overall design strategy. Derek also spearheads Lucid’s brand creative and brand strategy. Before joining Lucid, Derek was the Director of Design at Mazda North America Operations where he oversaw all design developments locally and globally. He was the lead or contributing designer to the 2016 MX-5 Miata, Shinari Concept, CX-5, Mazda6, Mazda3, and the 2017 CX-9. Prior to his tenure with Mazda, Derek spent nine years as the Chief Designer for Volkswagen North America, credited with the Scirocco concept, Ragster, Microbus concept, Concept T, and more. Prior to Volkswagen, Derek spent eight years with Audi, serving first as Lead Exterior Designer, followed by Assistant Chief Designer for Audi Design. He was the principal exterior designer of the A2 concept and production cars, as well as the 2002 Audi A8. Derek holds a B.S. from the Art Center College of Design in Transportation Design.

Previously, Kerr served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for US Airways, a role that he began in 2009. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer. He joined America West in 1996 as senior director, planning, and was promoted to vice president, financial planning and analysis, in 1998. In 2002, Kerr was promoted to senior vice president, finance, adding responsibility for purchasing and fuel administration. Prior to joining America West, Kerr served in various financial planning and analysis positions with Northwest Airlines. Previously, Kerr was a flight test coordinator/control engineer with Northrop Corporation’s B-2 Division. In 2013, Institutional Investor ranked US Airways as one of America’s Most Honored Companies, naming Kerr and his investor relations department to the 2013 All-America Executive Team. Kerr has a Bachelor of Science in aeronautical engineering and a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He serves on the board of directors for the Fiesta Bowl, University of Michigan Alumni Association and the Phoenix Zoo.
