James Donovan

James Donovan, aka Jim Donovan became a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co. in 1993. where he has worked in the areas of corporate strategy, investment banking and investment management. Since joining the firm in 1993 Donovan has held many leadership roles. These include: heading The Client Experience Task Force, heading the Strategic Lead Management, heading Investment Management Services, serving as a member of the Private Wealth Management Operating Committee and serving as the chairman of Investment Management Division Labs. In addition, between 2002 and 2006 he served on the Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund board. Donovan received a BS in Chemical Engineering from MIT, an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a JD from Harvard Law School. He is an active alumni of these schools, having a place on both MIT’s Corporation Development Committee and Athletic Committee, as well as a Friend of MIT Crew and a former MIT Crew Varsity Oarsman.
