Florida’s artificial intelligence sector has grown from a scattering of early movers into a real cluster in 2026, with Goodfirms counting 227 AI companies operating in the state as of July 2026. The growth is concentrated in three cities, each with its own specialty: Miami for fintech, legal and construction AI; Orlando for enterprise automation and health tech, powered by UCF’s AI institute and major employers like Disney and Lockheed Martin; and Tampa for a smaller but fast-moving group of seed-stage AI companies backed by local funds. Below is a look at the companies actually raising money and shipping product in the state this year.

Miami: Fintech, Legal and Construction AI

Togal.AI, founded in 2019 by former construction estimators, runs an AI platform that automatically identifies and tallies roughly 200,000 individual items on construction plans every day. Its annual recurring revenue grew more than 1,000% between January 2024 and December 2025, and the company has announced plans to add 100 employees across departments in 2026 to keep up with demand.

FirmPilot, an AI legal-marketing platform, raised a $22 million Series A-1 round led by DeepWork Capital, with participation from Data Point Capital, Blumberg Capital, Thomson Reuters Ventures, Valor Ventures, SaaS Ventures and EarlyLight Ventures.

Dazos, an AI-powered CRM built for behavioral health providers, raised a $25 million Series A from Radian Capital. Boom raised $12.7 million in Series A funding to apply AI to property management, and OneImaging raised $31 million in Series A funding to modernize medical imaging infrastructure. Innovacio Technologies, a Miami-based AI development firm founded in 2019, is currently the top-ranked AI company in Florida on Goodfirms, with a 4.9-star rating across 95 verified client reviews.

Orlando: Enterprise Automation and Health AI

Worth AI, headquartered in Orlando, was founded in 2024 by former Stax Payments founders Sal Rehmetullah and Suneera Madhani. Its platform automates onboarding and underwriting for small and medium-sized businesses applying for financial services. The company raised a $30 million Series A in 2026, led by Fulcrum Equity Partners with participation from Amex Ventures and TTV Capital, on top of the $25 million it raised in March 2025, bringing its total funding to $52.6 million across four rounds.

Kore.ai, which has raised through a Series D round, runs an enterprise automation platform serving more than 400 Fortune 2000 companies and is regarded as Orlando’s closest candidate to a unicorn valuation. HSI Labs, based in the Lake Nona district, is building AI agents to automate healthcare workflows, reflecting the broader push by Orlando Health and the UCF-affiliated innovation hub to bring AI into clinical and operational settings.

Tampa: A Smaller, Fast-Moving AI Scene

Tampa’s AI startups are earlier stage but active. Force Equals raised a $2.2 million seed round led by Cultivation Capital for its AI-driven enterprise planning platform. Irys Insurtech raised a $12.5 million seed round led by Markd, with participation from Deepwork Capital and the Florida Opportunity Fund, citing Tampa’s lack of state income tax and proximity to major employers as part of its rationale for locating there. SkyTL closed a $3.5 million funding round in late 2025 and is part of the Google for Startups AI Cohort, with active contracts with NASA and NOAA.

Why Florida’s AI Cluster Keeps Growing

Florida’s pitch to AI founders has stayed consistent: no state income tax, growing venture capital presence, and increasing global connectivity out of Miami’s international airport and business community. What’s changed in 2026 is the range of industries represented, from construction and legal tech in Miami to enterprise automation and health AI in Orlando to insurtech and aerospace-adjacent AI in Tampa. That diversification, rather than any single breakout company, is what is turning Florida into a genuine third coast for AI investment alongside the Bay Area and New York.
