Cosmetics are booming. It’s an industry that will never go out of style—literally. While its popularity won’t waver, the industry constantly changes. Keeping up with the trends means introducing new items. Here are some tips for launching a new cosmetic product to your line.

Start a Countdown

The world lives on social media. If you’re in the cosmetics industry without social media, you’re doing a disservice to your business. Start a countdown on your social media pages and set a timer for the release date.

Post reminders about the countdown on your story to remind customers when the product launches. The countdown should also be on the company’s website. You don’t want the anticipation to be too far away. Start about two weeks before the launch. Present a fun fact about the product every day to hype up the release date.

Host a Raffle

Host a virtual raffle because if customers love one thing, it’s free stuff. Not everyone can win, though. Pull 10 winning tickets to make it a fair distribution while still ensuring the company makes plenty of profits.

Encourage the raffle winners to talk about their experience with the product on their social media pages. Try to get influencers to discuss the products too. Partnering with them may be a better option than selecting them for a raffle.

Do a Soft Launch

Not everyone does a soft launch for their products, but we highly recommend it. Test the waters to see how the product does with the crowd before the big day. This gives you plenty of prep time. Promote the party virtually and physically.

Pass out flyers and make them festive. Consider using glitter cardstock for your business. It’s a real game-changer. You won’t have to do much decorating for the flyer because the paper’s material does all the work for you.

Throw a Party

The soft launch should be about a month before the big event. Take note of any mistakes and areas of improvement so you can make the hard launch a party to remember.

If you don’t have a current storefront, rent out a venue for the day. Include food and music because those are a must for a successful party. Some companies prefer to have a pop-up shop instead for a week.
