His current research interest is in the progression from data intensive computing to analytics, machine learning, artificial specific to general intelligence and autonomous systems. Since joining SGI, he has continued his studies in human perception for user interfaces and virtual and augmented reality. A Shell Cambridge University Scholar, Goh completed his Ph.D. research and dissertation on parallel architectures and computer graphics, and holds a first-class honors degree in mechanical engineering from Birmingham University in the U.K.

Hedley Potts is the Vice President leading Strategic Customer Engagement at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He is charged with leading a pan-HPE effort to drive the executive dialogue and mutual value creation between HPE, its clients and partners, and ensure that HPE’s vast offerings are strongly positioned in the market. Prior to this position, he worked for two years in HP’s Office of the CEO, leading the transformation of the Strategic Customer Engagement program. He has worked closely with a number of startups and incubators, introducing HPE’s clients to the broader ecosystem and innovation engine found in Silicon Valley. Hedley joined HP in 2008 as part of their Strategic Business Development. He focused on expanding HP’s business in EMEA and created a multi-billion dollar pipeline, which has delivered some of HP’s largest client partnerships. Previously, Hedley served as Lead Technology Consultant for NM Financial Management, spearheading a number of technology and business workstreams throughout the acquisition of NM by Friends Provident. Prior to that, Hedley worked at Lloyds Bank for 16 years, holding a number of technology leadership roles including Chief Architect and Chief Technology Officer. During this time, Hedley led the implementation of the bank’s first cloud service and worked to strengthen ties between the business and IT leaders. Hess rejoined UTC in January 2015 following a 35-year career that included serving as president of the corporation’s Hamilton Sundstrand and Pratt & Whitney businesses. Hess was named president of Pratt & Whitney in January 2009, where he was responsible for the company’s global operations in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines for commercial and military aircraft. He joined Pratt & Whitney after four years as president of Hamilton Sundstrand, the United Technologies Corp. business where he began his professional career in 1979. Hess serves as a member of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) Board of Governor’s Executive Committee. He also serves on the Board of Hartford HealthCare, the parent company of Hartford Hospital and the second largest health care network provider in Connecticut. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the National World War II Museum, and is on the Board of Directors for The Discovery Center, a nonprofit group founded by Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward that works with students from Connecticut’s urban centers and suburban communities on diversity and team-building.
