Andres Santo Domingo is a New York City philanthropist and socialite, and the co-founder of Kemado Records. Santo Domingo is the son of Julio Mario Santo Domingo, a Colombian patriarch known as one of Latin America’s most influential businessmen. Andres Santo Domingo grew up in New York City where he attended St. Bernard’s School. He graduated from the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut in 1996 and earned a BA in Comparative Literature in 2000 from Brown University. In 2002, Andres Santo Domingo co-founded Kemado Records, an independent record label based in Brooklyn in New York City. It is one of the few outlets that still supports vinyl. The label is linked to Mexican Summer and Software Records. Mexican Summer has expanded its catalog to nearly 100 releases across multiple formats. The labels are primarily centered around indie, heavy rock and roll. Their offices in Brooklyn include both a commercial recording studio and a first-floor retail store where they sell limited-edition vinyl, called Co-Op 87. In 2008, he married Lauren Davis, a contributing editor of Vogue, in an elaborate wedding in Colombia. In 2010, Lauren co-founded Moda Operandi, an online retailer where members can preorder designer clothing and accessories following runway shows.
