He held the position from 2013 to 2015. In this role, he was responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the company. Prior to assuming this position, Bowes was Executive Officer & President of Commercial Truck at Meritor Inc. where he was responsible for all OE activities in North America, South America and Europe. Prior to joining USG in 2012, Hilzinger’s career spanned more than twenty years of financial and operating experience in a variety of international and domestic operations. His previous positions include senior vice president and chief financial officer with Exelon Corporation; vice president and corporate controller with Exelon; and vice president, controller, assistant treasurer and divisional vice president, logistics finance and planning with Kmart. Hilzinger previously held various financial and operating positions at Handleman Company. He began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Detroit.

Tim O’Shaughnessy is the President, Founder & CEO of Graham Holdings & he Attended Georgetown University in 2000.Timothy O’Shaughnessy became president and chief executive officer of Graham Holdings, effective November 2015. O’Shaughnessy joined the Company as president in 2014 to oversee investments and acquisitions, and to help set a new direction following the sale of The Washington Post. Previously, he served as chief executive officer of LivingSocial, which he co-founded in 2007. During his tenure, the e-commerce and marketing company grew sales to nearly $2 billion. A native of Minnesota and the youngest of four children, O’Shaughnessy was born in 1981. Following his graduation from Georgetown University in 2004 with a BSBA in Marketing, Operations and Information Management, he joined AOL as a product manager. In 2006, he moved to Revolution Health, where he rose to vice president of product development. During that time, he and three others developed a successful series of apps for Facebook. That company grew into LivingSocial, where O’Shaughnessy was CEO for seven years. O’Shaughnessy is a member of the Executive Committee of the Federal City Council. He is married to Laura Graham O’Shaughnessy, a daughter of Donald E. Graham. She is CEO of SocialCode, a social marketing technology company, wholly owned by Graham Holdings. The O’Shaughnessys live in Washington, DC, and have two young children.

John Fan is the Founder, Chairman, CEO and President of Kopin Corporation. In 1985, Dr. Fan started Kopin with a group of MIT engineers and scientists. Under his leadership, Kopin became the leading provider of HBT transistor wafers for mobile phones and small-format active-matrix liquid crystal displays for military systems and mobile consumer devices like video cameras. Dr. Fan has authored about 200 publications, edited three books and has over 50 issued patents. Dr. Fan was an early advocate of wearable computer headsets with an early patent issued on this technology in 1998 (US Patent 5,815,126). In 1999, Dr. Fan received the Special Recognition Award from the Society of Information Displays (SID) and was chosen one of the Top 25 Asian American Entrepreneurs by Asia Week. He was also selected as one of the top 100 Asian American Entrepreneurs between 1999 and 2004 by Asia.net. Dr. Fan was the Ernst & Young New England Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000, and was also chosen as their National Finalist. In 2005, he was selected as one of the USA’s top 15 nanotechnology innovators by NASA’s Nanotech Briefs. Dr. Fan obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California at Berkeley, with highest honors. From 1972 to 1985, Dr. Fan carried out research on semiconductor materials and devices at Lincoln Laboratory, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and was Associate Leader of the Electronic Materials Group.
