Before joining Boeing International, Drach was the director of Human Resources for Connexion by Boeing® and Boeing Canada Technology. Drach also has held human resources leadership roles with Boeing-Corinth, Boeing-Irving, and Boeing Service Company in Texas. Earlier in his career, he was involved in security and human resources efforts for various divisions of the former Rockwell International, after joining the company as a college intern at its Aircraft Modification Center in Shreveport, La. Drach is a graduate of Louisiana State University and has a master’s degree in industrial relations from Louisiana Tech University. He is certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute as a global professional in human resources and a senior professional in human resources. Drach served six years in the Louisiana Army National Guard. He is a member of Rotary International and the Society for Human Resources Management, and the Boeing representative for the Aerospace Industries Association Workforce Council. Drach also serves on the Chicago-Cook County Workforce Investment Board.

Craig Cooning

Craig R. Cooning is president of Network and Space Systems (N&SS) for The Boeing Company, the world’s largest aerospace company. Appointed to this position in July 2014, Cooning leads approximately 10,000 employees across 38 states and 5 countries. N&SS is comprised of six business areas providing global customers with space exploration, cybersecurity, missile defense, and satellite communications solutions. Signature N&SS programs include the International Space Station, Space Launch System, Ground-based Midcourse Defense, Global Positioning System and Wideband Global SATCOM satellite systems, Intelsat, Inmarsat and more. Previously, Cooning served as vice president and general manager of Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems, and chief executive officer of Boeing Satellite Systems International. Cooning was commissioned in 1973 through the ROTC program at Auburn University. He served in a broad range of acquisition and logistics positions and as program executive officer for all Air Force space programs, twice as a major weapon system program director, as a commander, and a warranted contracting officer. Cooning earned both the space and master acquisition badges. In October 2010, Cooning was appointed a Member of the Corporation of Draper Laboratory, a non-profit research and development laboratory that focuses on advanced technological solutions to security, space exploration, healthcare and energy problems in the United States. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, Calif. Cooning earned his bachelor’s degree in aviation management from the School of Engineering at Auburn University in Alabama and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alabama.

Maureen Cragin
Vice President, Communications of The Boeing Company
Maureen Cragin is vice president of Communications for Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Based in St. Louis, Cragin is responsible for leading all communications strategy and planning for the business. Prior to her current position, Cragin led communications for Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s Network & Space Systems business from December 2007 to October 2009. She was previously vice president of Communications for Boeing’s Washington, D.C. Operations office. Before joining Boeing in 2002, Cragin was appointed by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as assistant secretary for Public and Intergovernmental Affairs at the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), beginning in 2001. While serving at the DVA, Cragin directed policies governing the department’s public and internal communications programs, as well as intergovernmental and consumer affairs activities. Prior to her presidential appointment, Cragin was director of Congressional Relations for Raytheon, in which capacity she oversaw advocacy efforts for Raytheon’s U.S. Navy and Marine Corps programs. From 1995 to 2001, she was director of Communications for the Committee on Armed Services in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was the committee’s principal spokesperson, developing communication strategies for advancing committee goals, such as the passage of the annual defense authorization bill. Previously, Cragin provided consulting services to the U.S. Department of Energy and served as public affairs adviser and spokesperson for the Women’s Bureau and Glass Ceiling Commission at the U.S. Department of Labor. She also served as director of volunteer administration at the 1992 Republican National Convention in Houston. Cragin holds a bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy. She served seven years on active duty and continued serving as a public affairs officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve until her retirement at the rank of captain in 2009. Cragin is a member of the Reserve Officers Association, the Association of the United States Navy, the Disabled American Veterans, and the American Legion. She also serves as chairman of the board of directors of the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore.
