Our company allows lawyers to quickly summarize and generate documents using their case files as context.
Tell us about yourself?
I have been working in tech for 10 years. My lawyer friend was working on a case when the ChatGPT API came out that had 450,000 pages of documents to go through. We built the software for her originally!
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
I would have started building in AI and Machine Learning earlier. It is a fun industry!
What problem does your business solve?
Lawyers and their staff spend hours reviewing documents. We can help them save time, and ultimately make the clients happier.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
Like I said above, I had a friend with this problem, so we built the system originally for her. We are trying to help lawyers and their staff focus on winning cases instead of reviewing hundreds of pages of documents every week.
What is your magic sauce?
A lawyer can use our system to query their entire case, including spreadsheets, images, Word documents, and PDFs.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
Our goal is to have a system that saves the lawyer hundreds of hours over a year, giving them back their time. We can also help law firms save cost – there are lots of hours wasted on document review.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
The biggest challenge so far is to get lawyer adoption. We have customers onboard, but some law firms are hesitant to adopt AI right now.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
When you show the product to lawyers using their own documents, they really start to see the value. Something that took a paralegal hours, now takes seconds.
